I’m excited to announce a free live virtual Q&A happening on Saturday, October 11 at 11:00 AM EST (3:00 pm GMT).
This session is designed for anyone who has ever wondered how their skills translate outside of academia—whether you’re still considering a PhD, in the middle of one, or years past finishing.
We’ll be digging into questions like:
🌱 What kinds of jobs are open to social science and humanities PhDs beyond the tenure track
🌱 How to imagine a meaningful career that feels like a fit for you
🌱 Navigating imposter syndrome and identity shifts during job transitions
🌱 How to think strategically about career planning at every stage of the journey
I’ll also share lessons from my own path through academia, industry, and the nonprofit world, as well as insights from supporting other PhDs as they navigate these same crossroads.
Most importantly, it’s a chance to connect with others in the Scholarly Transitions community and explore these questions together.
