Career coaching built specifically for social science and humanities PhDs and postdocs — starting from your training, not a STEM or generic-PhD template.
You did not spend years developing as a scholar to feel stuck when you think about what's next.
Most "career transition" advice was built for someone else — an engineering or physical sciences graduate, or a generic PhD with no particular field in mind. Little of it speaks to what you actually do: qualitative research, writing, teaching, critical analysis. Catalyst Collective is different by design. It starts from your training and builds outward — turning the skills you already have into a clear, credible sense of direction, alongside a small group of scholars who get it.

How it works
Eight live sessions, biweekly, 75 minutes each, with just 7–8 admitted participants. Coaching begins the week of September 21. We don't publish fixed session times — once you're admitted, we poll the group to find a recurring time that works for everyone before your place is confirmed. You help choose the schedule; we don't hand you one.

Real transitions, real growth
"She creates an exceptionally safe and trusting group environment - her approach is highly systematic and well structured. This helped me clarify my goals and develop a concrete sense of next steps."
Hanna R.
University of Southampton (UK)
"So valuable in understanding not only what I have to offer, but what I want from a future career. I'd recommend anyone doing a PhD take time to think about this."
Anita L.
University of Westminster
"Through the advice of Marya and my cohort I was able to articulate my skillset more clearly and compellingly. It contributed enormously to me securing my current role."
Will B., PhD
University of Cambridge
From the beta cohort: 5 of 6 rated the program 5/5, all 6 said it deepened their understanding of their transferable skills "very much," and all 6 would recommend Scholarly Transitions.
Admission is by application, and the cohort is small - we select for fit and commitment, not first-come, first-served. The application takes about 10 minutes. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the fall cohort fills.
